The French brand’s UK Facebook fans are apparently keen on a black-on-red model.
The French automaker's UK Facebook fans have spoken and after some 24,000 configurations for the Citroen C1 Connexion were submitted, the most popular was deemed to be a 3-door variant in a Caldera Black body color with Scarlett Red exterior and interior detailing as well as a set of alloys. Citroen has announced the car will enter production later this year, with the special edition model based on the VTR trim with a 68hp 1.0-liter gasoline engine mated to a manual transmission.
Standard amenities include daytime running LEDs, a/c and electric windows. Melina Kacherou-Carage, Head of Digital Marketing at Citroen UK, said: "This project has really captured the enthusiasm of the Facebook community. We've had thousands of configurations, so much positive feedback and now the first images of C1 Connexion, which will be ready to go on sale later in the year. You liked it, now we're making it." For the next phase of the project, Citroen are inviting fans to help design the C1 Connexion special edition's badge. Submissions will close on 18 May.
