We only have one question: Why?
When it comes to the world of supercars, ownership is an elite club that people will do just about anything to be a part of. However, some people don't see the point in working to achieve the kind of bank account balance that allows one to buy a real supercar. Thus, some will create their own supercars based on more affordable metal. Today, we've come across a 1992 Acura NSX that is meant to look something like a Ferrari LaFerrari. Besides vastly different proportions and performance, this creation is so obviously not a real Ferrari that we can't help but wonder if the owner would have been better off with the original NSX in his garage.
Where do we begin? The front has a nose that has elements of the Enzo, the LaFerrari, and perhaps even the C8 Corvette. Moving rearward, the doors open skyward and feature intakes in the rough shape of those on Ferrari's hybrid hypercar, but even these huge gashes in the custom widebody can't hide a hideous chrome and red wheel setup. The rear has some aftermarket taillights and a faux diffuser setup that again bears some resemblance to that of the LaFerrari. Unfortunately, fake Ferraris like this have assaulted our eyes before, and this one will probably not be the last to make us want to rinse our eyes in bleach.
Fortunately, the interior is far less offensive and appears to be completely stock, bar a horrendous sticker on the steering wheel. The engine is also apparently unmolested with the original 3.0-liter V6 powering the rear wheels with 270 horsepower. Despite the negative tone of this entire article, there are doubtless some out there who find this sort of thing appealing. If you're one such individual, we won't judge you. In fact, we'll point you in the right direction: the car is for sale on eBay right now, with an asking price of $110,000. A little pricey, sure, but at least you'll have a unique creation on your driveway.
