Faraday Future came out swinging back in 2017 when it announced the FF 91; a Tesla Model X fighter with over 1,000 horsepower and a zero to sixty sprint time of only 2.39 seconds. Since then the California startup has faced some serious financial troubles, but last year CarBuzz reported that the company would get financing from Property Solutions Acquisition Corp to finally bring the FF 91 into production. Faraday Future has finally sparked some renewed interest when it showcased a new feature for its EV: a 27-inch backseat screen with a video conferencing feature. In a video shared to YouTube, the company explains the new feature, and how it will set the FF91 apart from its competitors.

According to the company the FF 91 "will now have additional passenger-focused features available at launch. Rear seat passengers in the FF 91 will lower and raise the unique 27-inch Rear Passenger Display (RSD) with a simple voice command and also have the ability to conduct in-vehicle video conferencing while commuting."

In the short video, we get a good glimpse of the car's interior, which is dominated by a multitude of displays on the dashboard. The rear display lowers out of the ceiling by voice command and syncs up to the user's phone. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it looks like it will come in handy.

According to Hong Rao, vice president of I.A.I Faraday Future, the new feature forms a crucial part of the company's third-internet living space experience: "FF will deliver the latest and most advanced user-focused capabilities in the FF 91. These voice control and video conferencing upgrades are a crucial part of our third-internet living space experience. We continually seek out and discover new ways to enhance both the user and the unique mobility experience of the FF 91, and with these features, we believe our users will truly benefit from the advanced technology we are incorporating into our vehicles." Faraday Future is expected to start production of the FF 91 within the next 12 to 18 months.
