So it would appear Iceland is one of three proposed locations that will play host to Dominic Toretto's extended "family" in the upcoming 'Fast 8.' The film is mainly slated to shoot in Atlanta and New York City, with Universal looking at locations in Cuba, Russia and now Iceland as well. Local news in Iceland has claimed that filming will begin in April. The harbor town of Arkanes, 28 miles north of Reykjavik, will be home to the "largest explosion ever in Iceland." Right, at this point Toretto and company will likely be driving through Icelandic volcanoes.

The eighth film in the series will be directed by F. Gary Gray and the ensemble cast from the last film (and likely some from other movies) will reprise their roles. "Furious 7" garnered $1.5 billion in worldwide box office revenue. We're expecting something even crazier for the next film. Fast 8 will hit theaters April 14, 2017.
