We can't get enough of it.
Upon seeing the images of the new Boxster Spyder released by Porsche, we were compelled to consider whether this was in fact the greatest Porsche Roadster ever made. And having seen the range-topping Boxster in the metal on the New York Auto Show floor, we now have no doubts whatsoever. The Cayman GT4 was one of the stars of the Geneva Motor Show, and the Boxster Spyder borrows that car's front and rear end. That's a pretty good start.
Throw in the gorgeous 718 Spyder-inspired bulges at the back, the fabric roof, and the lowered stance and you have one hell of a sexy drop top. It's also highly capable with 375 hp on tap from its 3.8-liter straight-six; it boasts high-performance brakes borrowed from the 911 Carrera; and can clock 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds, topping out at over 180 mph. Want one? US buyers will have to wait until October and have $82,100 and change ready to hand over.
