Ferrari recently raised 1.8 million Euros from an online auction, with the bulk of the money coming from the sale of this 599XX Evo an American collector paid 1.4 million Euros for. The track-only 599XX officially debuted last December at the 2011 Bologna Motor Show. As an evolutionary version of the 599 GTB and 'standard' 599XX, power from the 6.0-liter V12 stands at 740hp and 516lb-ft of torque. 0-60mph has been clocked at 2.9 seconds and it reaches a top speed of 196mph.

Specially designed for Ferrari's Corse Clienti racing program, the 599XX Evo has the same active spoiler used in Formula 1. Another interesting factoid about the car is that owners never take delivery of it.

Instead, Ferrari take care of it and bring it to race tracks whenever clients want to spend time ripping it around the tarmac. Click the link to see and listen to this very special Ferrari being pushed around the Fiorano racetrack. Remember to turn up your speakers.
