Can we have a moment of silence, please?
It's always tough to see things like this. Yes, cars are just material objects and the important thing here is that no one was seriously injured or killed (to our knowledge). But damn it, some material objects are more special and important than others. The Ferrari LaFerrari is one of those objects. Only 499 were made and each one sold for just over $1.4 million. Unfortunately it appears that one of those 499 examples is now out of commission for the time being (and maybe forever).
This crash reportedly happened on the streets of Budapest, Hungary, and the damage looks pretty extensive. That being said from the right angle it doesn't look so awful! We don't know much else about this crash, save for what the photos provided by the Wörthersee GTI-Treffen Facebook page tell us. From what we can tell it looks like this 950-horsepower hybrid supercar has write-off potential. That just sucks. Also, props to the people who got out the car cover/burial shroud. No one walking down the street should have to bear witness to such an awful sight.
