The most powerful roadcar Ferrari has ever made. That's what you're looking at in the new F12 Berlinetta. The thing is that nobody's seen much of it since the Prancing Horse bunch lifted its veil at the Geneva Motor Show back in March. Now, though, Ferrari has rolled out the F12 in front of the world press at its headquarters in Maranello. All in all some 150 journalists were on hand, but they weren't the only ones getting behind the wheel of the new Ferrari flagship.

Also on hand for the launch were Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, the Scuderia's two star drivers, who verified the Berlinetta's performance first hand: its 6.3-liter V12 deploys a whopping 740 horsepower to rocket the front-engined supercar to 62 in a scant 3.1 seconds, a top speed of 212 mph and a Fiorano lap record of 1:23.
