Novitec is a well-known and respected tuner of fine Italian exotica, more specifically, Ferrari. Following the introduction of packages for the more hardcore Ferraris available, Novitec recently introduced a range of customization options for the more user-friendly Roma.

Let's start with the fun bit: the engine. Novitec leaves the internals of the 3.9-liter twin-turbo alone, focusing instead on modified controls for the electronic engine management system. The new unit has precisely calibrated maps for injection and ignition. Novitec claims it increases both the power and the throttle response. Also available are high-performance catalytic converters available, increasing the output figures.

The claimed figures are 704 horsepower (84 more than standard) and 651 lb-ft of torque. Peak power is delivered at 7,400 rpm, which means it's still a rev-happy Italian engine. The tuner can safely take this engine up to 800 hp in the F8 Tributo.

Novitec says the Roma will now get from 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds and from 0-124 mph in 8.9 seconds. A specific top speed isn't claimed, but we are told that it's now more than 204 mph.

Unlike the hideous creations made by Mansory, Novitec's designers went through the trouble of using a wind tunnel to create the body kit. All of the additional panels are made from naked carbon fiber coated in high gloss lacquer.

The front spoiler simply attaches to the existing bumper. In addition to creating a more substantial visual impact, it also provides more downforce at high speed. The same goes for the rocker panels, which optimize the airflow between the front and rear wheel arches. The spoiler on the trunk reduces lift at the rear, but Novitec can increase rear downforce even further by adding a diffuser and a vertical fin. The carbon surrounds for the rear taillights are just there to look pretty, however.

The forged alloy wheels are from Vossen, and there are three designs to choose from, available in 72 colors.

Novitec doesn't just increase the straight-line performance and aesthetic appeal. The Roma is equipped with sport springs to keep it all under control too, which lowers the ride height by about 1.4 inches. But the Roma is the daily Ferrari, so Novitec developed a hydraulic front lift system that raises the front of the car by 1.6 inches, slightly improving the standard car's ground clearance.

On the inside, Novitec keeps it simple. The interior is finished in leather and Alcantara, and the German tuning house claims the selection of colors is as infinite as the range of designs.
