Ferrari SF90 Gets Menacing Cosmetic Transformation

Tuning / 4 Comments

As usual, carbon fiber abounds.

When it comes to wild aftermarket body kits for supercars, few are pushing the envelope in the way that 1016 Industries is. The company is constantly innovating with regard to 3D printing and carbon fiber, often blending the two to create designs that are truly inimitable. In fact, 1016 was the first to create a 3D-printed body kit for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and now it has turned its attention to Ferrari's first plug-in hybrid supercar, namely the SF90 Stradale. The limited-edition body kit you see here is available in a number of finishes, and you don't need to buy the complete kit if you only like certain elements of it.

"Our approach to carbon fiber is that each part needs to smoothly work in harmony with the vehicle," said company CEO Peter Northrop. "At 1016 Industries, we design custom exotics that deliver something special to enthusiasts that are all their own when they get behind the wheel. We specialize in making special cars even more special. The 1016 Industries carbon fiber SF90 is made for elite collectors and immediately makes a statement when people see this rare Ferrari out on the road."

Before we get to the main components, the carbon fiber is available in a 1x1 weave or a "super-premium" 2x2 twill pattern that can even be color tinted. In addition, special satin finishes are available.

The limited-edition components of the kit include front bumper flaps ($5,800), a front lip ($7,200), a hood vent system ($6,200), side skirts ($7,200), a rear diffuser ($12,800), a trunk spoiler ($5,800), and a roof spoiler ($6,200). In total, that's $51,200, but we're sure that this figure can rise substantially once you start adding color tinting or if you opt for the 2x2 carbon. 1016 Industries has obviously also added a set of aftermarket wheels to this car, and for the complete look that this kit aims to achieve, we think new rims are a must. Just don't let the wife see the receipts.
