Ferrari made a big splash earlier in the year when it revealed the F8 Tributo, with a whopping 720 horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 engine. But the F8 won't be the company's most exciting reveal of 2019, as spy shots of a mysterious prototype have finally surfaced. The test mule is rumored to be a new hybrid supercar, which is reported to use the F8's engine mated to electric motors for a combined total of around 1,000 hp. We thought it might be a while before we actually got to see a production version of the car, but a new teaser from Ferrari has now given us an exact reveal date.

The teaser, which was shared on Ferrari's Facebook page, says we will see the new car on May 29th, 2019. This means the reveal will happen just a few days from now, completely out of the blue. The teaser comes with the caption "Dare To Imagine," which doesn't really tell us any specific details about the car.

We also don't get a great look at the car because the teaser only shows the outline of the rear end. From the image, we can discern that the car will have four square taillights, while spy shots have shown us two high-mounted central exhaust pipes.

There are still no details about what the car will be called, so it's anyone's guess. Rumors indicate the car will utilize a twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors to send power to all four wheels. Thanks in part to the AWD setup, the car is rumored to hit 60 mph in just two seconds flat. If the rumors are to be believed, we may be about to bear witness to one of the greatest supercars ever created. Ferrari says, "Get ready. Two days to go."
