Now that's how you celebrate an anniversary.
Ferrari has done something incredible; you’d expect nothing less from the world’s best carmaker. At the 2016 Paris Motor Show, Ferrari provided a sample of its 70th anniversary models, and has now released all 70 liveries created by Ferrari Tailor Made inspired by 70 of the most beautiful Ferraris ever made spanning seven decades of production. Each livery has been assigned a number and a name, related to the car that inspired it.
Livery #1 is dubbed ‘The Icon’, a simple red wearing number 56, inspired by the 1947 Ferrari 125 S, the first official racing sports car built by Enzo Ferrari. Livery #70, entitled ‘A is for Aperta,’ is inspired by the 2014 458 Speciale A, with a yellow body and white and blue racing stripe. In between are 68 other beautiful liveries spanning nearly 70 years. Some of our favorites include #18 ‘The Fangio,’ the yellow-and-blue tipped 1956 290 MM built for Juan Manuel Fangio to race at the 1956 Mille Miglia; #30 ‘The Masterpiece’ a gorgeous gunmetal silver livery with Bordeaux racing stripes and matching interior inspired by the 1961 250 GT Berlinetta SWB; and #43 ‘Azzuro Dino,’ a striking blue hued livery with camel and black interior inspired by the Dino 246 GT.
Each livery will be created just once for each of the five cars in the current Ferrari range, namely the California T, 488 GTB, 488 Spider, F12 and GTC4 Lusso. That's a total of 350 unique cars which will be further distinguished by a commemorative logo and ID plate with the name of the model that inspired the livery. Go to the Ferrari website to check out the complete range and be prepared to lose a few hours of your day.
