Dealerships across Europe are eagerly awaiting the new Fiat 500L, scheduled to arrive in September, and the Italian automaker has answered with a limited run of Opening Edition models. Based on the Pop Star model, the special edition 500L includes a body-colored dashboard, chrome side stripes, six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), manual climate control with pollen filter, cruise control, Cargo Magic Space, and rear seats that split, slide, recline and fold.

2,500 Euros of optional extras are also thrown in including two-tone black & white livery, CD-MP3 Uconnect touch-screen, leather steering wheel with radio controls and leather gear knob. The launch mimicks a similar move undertaken by Fiat when it launched the 500 hatchback several years ago, and allows it to deliver those initial examples in a streamlined fashion while giving customers more than they expected. The 1.4-liter 95hp gasoline version is priced at 17,150 Euros, and the 85hp turbodiesel 1.3-liter Multijet II comes in at 19,350 Euros.
