OMG...like, WTF (LOL)
We all know the attention span of people today is fairly short, and when a company wants to grab yourattention, they have to be fast and original. Fiat, in an attempt toattract young buyers, decided to take it a step further. The carmaker created an ad campaign centered on internet memes. Yes, we are talking LOL's, flying cats, and GIFs. Fiat had already launched a Tumblr page with animated GIFs featuring their brand. Now they have decided to take it to video and have created a very odd, slightly condescending video.
Unfortunately it seems as though the attempt has backfired, with the key demographic mostly mocking the commercial. A quick look at thecomments section on YouTube shows mostly sarcastic responses, whichmakes the video worth a look for that reason alone.
