As previously teased by Fiat USA, the all-electric 500e will be making its official introduction into the North American market. The Fiat 500e was revealed to the world four years ago, but Stellantis decided to hold the local introduction back, leaving the Fiat 500X to fight it out in the competitive crossover market all on its own.

The 500e will be arriving in the USA by early 2024, so its arrival is still some time away. It will spearhead the brand's electric strategy in the region, with more models set to follow. Company CEO Olivier Francois says the electric 500 is the perfect product to appeal to the American market's "appetite for change towards sustainable mobility."

A special 500e is being designed for the USA, which we will see at next year's LA Motor Show (2023). No other details are provided yet, but for reference, the European model features a 42 kWh battery pack that powers a 117 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque electric motor on the front axle.

The official announcement is only set to occur later today, but in the meantime, we can enjoy these three creations Fiat brought to the 2022 LA Motor Show as a taster of what's to come.

Fiat 500e by Giorgio Armani

Like the Bocelli special edition, Giorgio Armani's take on the Fiat 500e takes a traditionally svelte approach as it lathers the chic and iconic body in a gray and green silk effect paint which is covered with a transparent top coat which reduces pollution and bacteria when UV light hits it. This is complemented by an exclusive microchevron laser engraving for a fabric-like look on the upper part of the body.

Contrast is created by applying a brass pinstripe that runs along the upper door, window, and front badge. This is accentuated by custom Armani aerodynamic alloy wheels. You'll find the same design on the car's roof just ahead of the spoiler.

Inside, things are equally subtle but tasteful as the EV hatch adopts a greyge full-grain natural leather upholstery with the Armani logo embossed into the headrests. The steering wheel and dashboard adorn a matte black surface complemented by piano gloss buttons and brass contrast trimmings. Gray and black static floor mats complete the fashionable design scheme together with an open-pore wood insert for the dashboard.

Fiat 500e by Kartell

Kartell is best known for its plastic-based contemporary furniture, which we can see clearly in the design of this special edition, finished in a unique monoblock Kartell blue shade.

The highlight of this model is the intricate super spoke-like inspired by its Kabuki lamp with the 500 Kartell hubcap made from recycled polycarbonate from parabolic projectors. This logo is found at the front of the car, while a hub's material is applied to the door mirrors. Black piano gloss surfaces are applied to the window surrounds and door mirror bases to create contrast.

The interior opts for partial cloth, and leather upholstery in a gray finish with a blue Kartell logo etched into the backs. An intricate 3D design is applied to the dash as a complementary element to the predominantly gray interior. Most trimmings are formed with 100% recycled polypropylene,

Fiat 500e “Mai Troppo” Launch Edition by Bulgari

To no one's surprise, Bulgari's "Mai Troppo" Launch Edition take on the 500e is the most dazzling as the exterior adopts a saffron-colored pearlescent finish with gold accents applied to the badge, doorline pinstripe, and two-tone custom wheels. This gold was soured from metal scraps of its jewelry production. Gloss black is used here to break the bold color scheme similar to Kartell's car.

The interior is bold but tasteful, as a colorful peacock arrangement has been added to the side of the black leather seats and the dashboard. This design is inspired by its range of historic silk scarves. Gold is used for the steering wheel accents, dashboard surround, and Bulgari branding on the Diva-pattern seat backs.

The rest of the interior keeps things simple by sticking to black plastic trimmings. The steering wheel boasts a Bulgari logo on the rim of the horn, while a colorful arrangement is inserted into the gold 500 logo.
