Some of the most famous Hollywood movie cars of all time are currently looking for new owners. One of the 1967 "Eleanor" Ford Mustang GTs used in the 2000 film 'Gone in 60 Seconds' is heading to auction, as is the famous 1968 Ford Mustang 390 GT famously driven by Steve McQueen in 'Bullitt'. And now you can own your very own Batmobile. While it's not an actual model that was used in one of the Batman movies, it's the next best thing.
Listed for sale on Auto.Ru is a full-size working replica of the Batmobile driven by Ben Affleck in the 2016 film 'Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice' that has been accurately replicated. According to the listing, the Batmobile replica was originally built in the US in 2018 before being shipped over to Moscow, Russia, where it's currently based.
The two-seater is massive, measuring 19.7 feet long and 13.1 feet wide and weighing 1.5 tons, so good luck fitting it in your garage. Unsurprisingly, its monstrous size means it can't be driven on the public road. In fact, it can only be transported using special vehicles and an escort. Suddenly, the armored Rezvani Tank seems rather tame by comparison.
Powering this beast is a 5.0-liter V8 engine sending 502 hp to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Since being shipped to Russia, this Batmobile replica has been fitted with power-assisted doors, a night-vision camera, an infrared camera with 255x zoom, a laser sight and a replica of the movie vehicle's gun on the front bumper that can simulate shooting. It also has armored glass and a racing car-style retractable steering wheel.
Only four examples reportedly exist in the world, so this is a rare opportunity to buy your very own Batmobile. The seller is asking for 55,000,000 RUB, which is around $844,000.
