The first 2024 Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate was just sold at auction to benefit charity and someone paid 750,000 Swiss Francs (approximately $814,000 USD), which is more than $1,000 per horsepower. Aston offered the first of 499 units (300 Coupes and 199 Volantes) during the Action Innocence Charity Gala in Gstaad, Switzerland.

This particular example is the fixed-roof coupe, which sends off Aston's flagship V12 grand tourer in spectacular fashion. The coupe model carries a $387,600 starting price, which is quite a bit more than the $330,000 standard DBS, but since this is the first example and was donated to the auction for charity, it brought a fair bit more

As a reminder, the DBS 770 uses a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine producing 759 horsepower (770 metric horsepower) and 663 lb-ft of torque going to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. In other words, the winner paid $1,072 per hp. 0-60 mph takes 3.2 seconds in the coupe (3.4 seconds in the Volante) and the top speed is 211 mph.

That's a lot of money to spend on a car, even one as special as this, but keep in mind that the entire 499 unit run was already sold out. Unless this buyer already had one of the other examples, this auction was the last chance to nab one new. The car comes finished in Ultramarine Black paint with Trophy Silver accents and a Q by Aston Martin Cote d'Azure Blue interior.

"We are delighted to contribute to the Action Innocence Charity Gala, which has become one of the most important philanthropic events in the Gstaad resort, a key destination for Aston Martin and our customers in Europe," said Andreas Bareis, Regional President of Aston Martin in Europe. "It is fantastic to see this unique DBS 770 Ultimate model raise such significant funds for charity and generate incredible excitement at the Gala, as such an iconic model in Aston Martin's breath-taking product portfolio."

All together, the auction brought more than 4 million Swiss Francs for charity. Atendees included Penelope Cruz, Christophe Lambert, and Mika.
