Cadillac's new high-performance Blackwing sedans have made a huge splash since their unveiling at the end of last month. In fact, it didn't take long before the first 500 units - unique because of a special serialized plaque - were sold out.

Two even more exclusive versions, namely VIN #001 of both the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing, will now be sold for charity at the upcoming Scottsdale Auction. The news was announced by Barrett-Jackson and instantly makes these the two most desirable Blackwings right now. One-hundred percent of the hammer price for both sedans will go to Black Ambition, a non-profit organization launched by Pharrell Williams.

Black Ambition assists Black and Lantinx entrepreneurs who are in the process of launching new startups in areas like healthcare, technology, and design. Of course, this isn't the first time that Barrett-Jackson has auctioned special new vehicles for charity, with VIN #001 of the new GMC Hummer EV also expected to benefit a worthy cause.

"The Cadillac CT5-V and CT4-V Blackwings have seen tremendous attention since their introduction just days ago," said chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, Craig Jackson. "As the last in line of Cadillacs with a factory six-speed manual transmission, these two first-production vehicles are destined to be coveted collector cars for generations to come."

Both Caddys will take the fight to BMW M and Mercedes-AMG sedans, and they're well-equipped for that almighty task. The CT4-V Blackwing comes with a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 with outputs of 472 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-62 mph time of 3.8 seconds. The CT5-V Blackwing's 6.2-liter supercharged V8 boasts a titanic 668 hp and 659 lb-ft, dropping the 0-62 mph time to 3.7 seconds with its ten-speed automatic gearbox. Both sedans come with a Tremec six-speed manual gearbox as standard.

The lucky winning bidders will own the rights to the first production examples of the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwings. It remains to be seen how much they'll sell for when the Scottsdale Auction takes place at WestWorld from March 20-27.
