First Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Heading to Auction

Charity

All proceeds of sale going to charity.

If you want to be the first person to get their hands on the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, then you’ll need to be in Las Vegas on September 27 and ready to write a substantial check. Dodge has decided to put the very first supercharged Challenger, VIN 0001, up for auction with Barrett-Jackson. The auction house is waving all consignment fees and commissions, so every last cent of the winning bid will head to Opportunity Village – a charity that supports the mentally handicapped and their families in Southern Nevada.

Finished in Stryker Red (a color normally reserved for the Viper), the first Hellcat will wear special badging, a Black Laguna leather interior, and a “HEMI painted presentation box” stuffed full of memorabilia. More importantly, underhood lurks the monster 707-hp 6.2-liter V8 that sends power to the rear wheels via an eight-speed auto.
