BMW doesn't make any cheap cars, but despite their considerable price and impressive performance, customers always want more. As a result, BMW offers M Performance parts for those who want to stand out a little. Obviously, cars like the M3 and M4 get special parts, but even non-M models get dressed up too, and while some parts are questionable, we love the choice that the M Performance range offers.

Now that the BMW i4 has been revealed, we know that the M50 model makes more power than the traditional M4 coupe, and as such, it deserves a bit of special attention too.

Sadly, the images aren't of the greatest quality as they come from BMW Sweden's build & price site, but we expect that a full press release and some social media posts will follow. In any case, let's start at the front. The kidney grilles can be enhanced with a carbon fiber surround while the rear can be dressed up with a carbon fiber trunk spoiler and/or a carbon fiber diffuser add-on.

You can also get M Performance decals, although they're not officially listed. There are 20-inch M Performance wheels too, listed as 868 M bicolor. Speaking of wheels, a semi-Alcantara-clad steering wheel with a red center marker is available, which can be paired with a gear selector boasting carbon and Alcantara.

Despite being listed on the same page as the configurator, these items are not accessible once in the configurator itself, and no pricing is offered either. It's also unclear if these parts will be exclusive to the i4 M50, but if BMW's past record is anything to go by, we expect that regular models will be able to access these upgraded parts too.

We like that BMW is treating this EV like a normal car and giving it the same attention as traditionally-powered products. And with the M50 version producing up to 536 horsepower and 586 lb-ft of torque, these upgrades definitely look the part.
