All doubts this car was real can now be dismissed.
When boutique carmakers come on the scene claiming to have a revolutionary new car design, it’s best to hold judgment until you see the thing in action. W Motors unveiled its $3.4 million Lykan Hypersport in production guise at the Dubai Motor Show earlier this month, and while the Lebanese supercar maker claims to have sold all seven of the limited edition models, you can never be too sure whether the thing is real until you see it. That time has now come, as the RUF-powered supercar has been filmed testing at the Dubai Autodrome.
A 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat six engine rated at 770 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque is motivating the Hypersport, which claims to clock 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and have a 245 mph top speed. These numbers look great written down, now watch them come to life.
