As suspected, Dodge's new 6.2-liter supercharged V8 looks ready to find home in the 2015 Charger. These spy shots, hailing from the streets of southeast Michigan, show a Charger Hellcat prototype, which is distinguished from the stock sedan by the honeycomb inserts on the upper part of the grille that looks very similar to the Challenger Hellcat's design. The wheel and tire package also looks identical to those on the hi-po Challenger.
Other tell-tale signs you're looking at the Hellcat Charger include a hood scoop, chin spoiler, slotted brake rotors, Brembo brake calipers, trunk lid spoiler and large round exhaust tips. On top of that, last Friday Dodge filed for SAE J1349 certification for the 2015 Dodge Charger 6.2-liter supercharged SRT model. The Charger SRT Hellcat is expected to ape the Challenger's output of 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque when it debuts this October.
