First Look: Check Out the Mazda2 Sedan Ahead of its Debut in Thailand

Will be unveiled next week at the Thai International Motor Expo.

Ever since the new-generation Mazda2 broke cover we’ve wondered whether a sedan variant would arrive. Well, wonder no more, as these are the first images of the new Mazda2 Sedan ahead of its public debut at the Thailand Motor Expo. If you think of the Mazda3 as a smaller 6 then the Mazda2 is simply a subcompact version of the 3. With Mazda employing its KODO design language across the range, which was expanded this week with the unveiling of the CX-3, the Japanese carmaker has one of the best-looking lineups on the market.

When it goes on sale locally next year, the Mazda2 Sedan will come powered by a 1.5-liter diesel delivering 105 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. No word on when the car will reach Europe or other markets.
