We've seen the Coupe, and now it's time to check out the Convertible variant of the next-generation Chevy Camaro. Spied here with its black, fabric soft-top closed up, the drop-top Camaro will adopt a similar mechanism as the outgoing model, but we assume will integrate the roof into the decklid a bit better. Roof aside, the 2017 Camaro Convertible will mimic the coupe and come built on GM's new RWD Alpha platform, which also underpins the Cadillac ATS and CTS.

Engine wise, expect the familiar V6 and V8 to return. And to compete directly against Ford's Mustang EcoBoost, will be a turbocharged 2.0-liter four banger. Production of the new Camaro will begin in roughly one year from now in Michigan.
