Following its reveal back in the summer, the very first US example of the mighty McLaren 600LT has been delivered to its new owner. Surprisingly, the first customer McLaren 600LT to arrive on US soil isn't owned by a famous actor or singer. Instead, it belongs to John Hennessey, the owner of renowned Texas-based tuner Hennessey Performance that creates some of the most insanely powerful modified cars on the planet like the monster Dodge Challenger HPE1000 Demon.

Hennessey had his McLaren 600LT finished in black with subtle orange accents. Somehow, we don't the tuner will keep the car in stock condition for very long. Based on the 570S, the 600LT is the most hardcore McLaren Sports Series yet, boasting extreme aerodynamics, a stiffer chassis and a more powerful engine.

While the McLaren 570S produces 562 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, the 600LT's 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 has been cranked up to deliver 592 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. With a dry weight of 2,749 pounds, the 600LT is also 212 pounds lighter than the 570S. As a result, the supercar will rocket to 2.8 seconds before topping out at 204 mph, making it just as quick as the previous 675LT.

In the US, the McLaren 600LT starts at $240,000. Don't try to order one though, because every example has already been sold. The exact number of cars that will roll off the assembly line hasn't been revealed, but McLaren says production of the 600LT will be "strictly limited" and last for around a year. That makes Hennessey one of the privileged few to get behind the wheel of McLaren's latest Sports Series. We can't wait to see how the tuner will make the McLaren 600LT even more hardcore.
