On April 10th, Nissan's GT-R Development Team announced that they will be competing a production-spec model at the Nurburgring 24 Hours Race in May. Well, it looks like the guys over at Nissan are making good on their promise after all, as we have the first photos of the Club Track Edition GT-R taking a few spins on the famed German course. The Club Track Edition Nissan GT-R seen here undergoing shakedown testing is still slightly camouflaged and features a very prominent rear wing.

Other than that, the supercar-killer is said to remain relatively untouched. Nissan said in their press release from a few weeks ago that the running the stock GT-R "will assess its endurance capability in the toughest environment (24 hour race) at the world's toughest circuit (Nordschleife) against strong competitors-European sports/super car manufacturers' factory racing cars." The 24 Hours of Nurburgring race kicks off on May 17th and runs until the 20th. We look forward to seeing how Godzilla matches up against its racing-spec competition.
