Fisker Karma

The new Fisker Karma, a direct competitor to the upcoming Tesla Model S, is a plug-in hybrid sedan that will make all of those Prius' out their look downright lame - not to mention a Maserati or two. Designed and built by Henrik Fisker, he's the design genius behind the Aston Martin DB9, Vantage, and BMW Z8. The car is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged I-4/electric hybrid that produces 260 horsepower and paired up with a one-speed automatic transmission.

It has two electric motors powered by lithium-ion batteries. The four-cylinder gas-powered engine, used to extend the car's range to a maximum, is the same found on the now discontinued Pontiac Solstice GXP. It should be able to travel up to 50 miles on battery power only and an additional 250 miles with the four-cylinder.
