It's a steal.
The incredible Maserati MC12 is the brainchild of a collaboration between auto designers Giorgetto Giugiaro and Frank Stephenson. Only 50 units of this rare supercar were ever produced, making the MC12 a true collector's item. This special Maserati is based on the platform of the Ferrari Enzo and even has the exact same 6.0-liter V12 engine as the Ferrari. The only difference is that the MC12's powerbase is slightly detuned to produce a respectable 625 hp in comparison to the Enzo's 650 hp. Obviously the designers didn't want to step on the Enzo's toes.
The MC12 also has a top speed of 205 mph and can hit 60 mph in a mere 3.8 seconds. This particular 2005 model is number 31 out of 50 and is part of the Pinnacle Portfolio collection of cars being auctioned off at RM Sotheby's. The car has only 477 miles on the odometer and is expected to sell for as much as $1.9 million.
