For most of us, when we say we "can't wait" for the new Ford Bronco to arrive, we mean that figuratively - the same way we "can't wait" for the F1 season to start, or "can't wait" for the seventh-generation Ford Mustang to drop.

But for at least one Ford Bronco super-fan out there, "can't wait" was meant literally, and he just had to go build his own.

Details of this custom-built Ford "Super Bronco" were shared to the r/projectcar subreddit recently, and it's an impressive machine - half F-250 Super Duty, half Ford Excursion, and 100 percent not technically a Bronco at all, although it certainly looks the part.

The Super Bronco was cut and pasted together primarily from a 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab and a 2001 Ford Excursion, with the Excursion donating its rear half to the build. That said, it also incorporates the hood and front fenders from a 2008 F-250; the grille from a 2017 Super Duty; the taillights from a 2017 F-150; and the front axle and electronic locker rear end from a 2012 Ford F-250 4x4.

In short, it's a total Frankenstein's monster of a build, borrowing parts from disparate sources. We love it.

Inside, the approach was much the same, featuring a custom interior with a 2017 Ford truck dash panel, and heated and cooled Lincoln MKX seats wrapped with King Ranch leather upholstery. The center console was custom made from Aromatic Cedar, and mounted in the middle of the dash is a big Samsung tablet.

The end result is something that looks like it could have rolled right off the assembly line at a Ford plant yesterday - or, better, something that could go and steal the show at SEMA tomorrow. If the bloke who built this Super Bronco is taking orders, we'll have ours in Iconic Silver Metallic, please.
