Although it's just recently reached North American shores as the C-Max Hybrid and Energi Plug-In Hybrid, the regular gasoline-powered C-Max went on sale in Europe back in 2010. Consequently, that means it's time for a mid-cycle refresh. Our spy photographers just managed to capture images of a test mule out doing some cold weather testing in Sweden. Underneath that camouflage is a reworked front-end that will more than likely continue Ford's Aston Martin-inspired design language.

No other details are available just yet as to any other updates Ford has planned for its five- and seven-seat crossover but more than likely some other exterior tweaks and packaging options are in store. Sources say we can expect to see the freshened C-Max go on sale sometime next year.
