It should come as no surprise that Ford has something Bronco-related planned for this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Set to make its debut tomorrow is the Bronco DR, teased here by none other than Ford CEO Jim Farley himself on Twitter. We don't know any specific details just yet. It's only a teaser, after all. But if we had to take a guess, then DR probably stands for Desert Runner.

The dust it's kicking up in the short video is a dead giveaway. But again, it's purely speculation on our part. What we also don't know is whether the Bronco DR is a concept or a production-ready SUV.

One possibility is a road-going version of the Bronco R race truck. But hang on? Wouldn't this interfere with the already announced 2022 Bronco Raptor? Is it more extreme than the upcoming Raptor variant? Less so? We'll find out in less than 24 hours. Also worth pointing out is that this is the first time we've ever heard of the Bronco DR.

Aside from the Raptor, there's also the Everglades and Heritage Edition in the pipeline. Whatever the case is, Ford is clearly wasting no time launching awesome Bronco variants. We're also hoping to see modified Bronco Sports.

Ford hasn't said whether any are coming to SEMA or not, but don't be surprised if something interesting makes an appearance. Farley's involvement with the new Bronco program dates back to the design stage when he personally got involved. He was (and still is) fully aware of the Bronco's legacy and its legion of fans. And so far, the results speak for themselves. Demand remains high going into the 2022 model year despite the hardtop roof recall. It's just a temporary setback.

We'll have full coverage starting tomorrow from the showroom floor at the 2021 SEMA Show with live photos and other cool details. Stay tuned.
