Ford Cobra Snakehead Concept by Andrus Ciprian

Design

Ever envisioned a Ford resembling a Ferrari 458 Italia? Well, designer Andrus Ciprian must have. His new Ford Cobra Snakehead concept has a very luxurious and sporty design that was partly inspired by the original GT40s and also incorporates Ford's current design theme. It also gives possible hints to the next generation Mustang that's due in 2014. The design even appears to be more aggressive than the recently conceived next generation GT supercar.

Under the hood, the Cobra Snakehead would theoretically get its power from a front-mounted 5.4-liter supercharged V8 delivering an output of 550hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. It would also attempt to rival another competitor, the Chevrolet Camaro, by launching a new special edition trim every six months. Remember, this is only a design concept done by an independent designer who doesn't work for Ford. That's too bad because there's much to like here. We can only hope that Ford designers are taking notes.
