Originally launched in 1961, the E-Series is currently in its fourth generation. It is a full-size van that competes with the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanah. It used to be known as the Econoline and Club Wagon. Available in both work and passenger variations, the E-Series has been the best selling full-size sedan in the United States for 30 years. It has a wide range of available engine options, including both conventional and diesels.
Transmission options include a four or five speed automatic. The latest version of the E-Series was updated in 2009. Updates included a new dashboard with a navigation system and a rear-view backup camera. Apart from civilian use, the E-Series often finds work in the form of school buses, delivery vans, ambulances, and police vehicles.
