But read the fine print first.
Ford Fiesta owners looking for a new ride should know that Ford very much wants to keep you as a customer. While the Fiesta has been discontinued, the Ford EcoSport offers something pretty similar to the little hatch. It's a subcompact crossover with similar overall dimensions, but there is some additional interior space and a higher seating position. If this sounds appealing to you, then there's probably never been a better time to buy a new EcoSport than right now.
Ford is currently advertising unsold 2019 EcoSport rebates worth over $7,000. However (there's always a catch, right?), this is not a nationwide offer but rather it varies by region.
For example, if you live in the New York City area, a 2019 Ford EcoSport SE currently has $7,100 on the hood. Those living in the Detroit area can get the same EcoSport SE with a $4,100 cashback. Down in Miami, there's a $2,000 cash plus 0.9 percent APR for well-qualified buyers, though there's no mention of which trims this applies to. Lastly, Los Angeles area residents can get up to $3,350 cashback for SE trims only. It's important to note these regional offers expire at different times.
For example, Big Apple residents have until March 31 while Miami's fine citizens have far less time; February 2, to be exact. And for the record, the EcoSport SE is not the lowest trim level; that title goes to the EcoSport S. 2019 EcoSport SE prices begin at $24,800 while the 2020 version carries a $25,190 starting spot.
Earlier this month, we learned the 2020 EcoSport MSRP has been dropped by $490 in order to keep things competitive. But there are some notable offers for the 2020 EcoSport, also the SE trim, with the best offer again in NYC with a $3,500 cash rebate.
One last important piece of information: some of these offers are only for vehicles that arrived at dealerships at least 61 days before the sale. Like always, be sure to read the fine print before signing.
