The Edge is Ford's mid-size crossover offering. It competes directly with the Dodge Journey, Nissan Murano, and Chevrolet Traverse. It comes with a standard 2.0 liter four-cylinder EcoBoost and two other available engines: a 3.5 liter V6 with 285 horsepower and a 3.7 liter V6 for the Sport model only. Features include High Definition radio with 12 speakers, rear view camera, and seats that fold flat in the rear.
Unlike the Dodge Journey, the Edge does not offer a third row seat. However, this allows for increased leg and shoulder space in the second row. Since its introduction in 2006, the Edge has been a major sales success for Ford, proving importance of the crossover market.
