RTR Vehicles are past masters at updating standard production models, mostly Mustangs, to fire-breathing monsters. But they also offer more subtle upgrades such as this F-150 RTR package.
The company doesn't mess with what's under the hood but rather adds a number of subtle mods to make it stand out from the pack. The exterior benefits from a new RTR grille with LED lighting, fender flares, and an RTR dealer graphics package.
Inside you get RTR floor liners and an RTR dealer serialized dash plaque signed by Vaughn Gittin Jr. The package also includes a Fox Performance Series 2.0 suspension setup, 20-inch RTR Tech 6 wheels and chunky 295/55R20 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. A Ford Performance cat-back exhaust finishes off the package.
The changes may be small, but the final result is a truck that both looks far more purposeful than the standard F-150 and has enough off-road ability to tackle just about anything you would reasonably throw at it. The louder exhaust is a nice touch too but probably best paired with the 5.0-liter V8 models.
All F-150 RTR components have been validated by professional Ford test drivers and Ultra4 off-road racer and East Coast Champion, Vaughn Gittin Jr. They can be specified with any four-door F-150 excluding the Raptor. Since RTR is officially partnered with Ford you can get these components at a Ford dealership and still retain the OEM warranty.
Pricing for the F-150 RTR package is $12,750, a fair chunk of change to add to the base price of your new truck. But if the RTR backing and the additional off-road ability are high on your priority list then this is the truck for you.
