Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang GT Revealed in Full

One-off

One-off Stang headed for charity auction.

Previewed last week, Ford has now whisked the wraps off the one-off 2015 F-35 Lightning Edition Mustang GT that’s set to be auctioned for charity. Based on the Mustang GT, the aviation-themed Stang wears a Lockhead Martin F-35 Lightning II livery, a carbon-fiber front splitter, rocker moldings, a new rear diffuser, and a matte titanium paint job with yellow and blue accents. Yellow has also been used for the brake calipers, window tint, mirror covers and the Recaro bucket seats.

The cabin also sports a modified instrument cluster and performance gauges, as well as F-35 Lightning touches on the seats and floor mats. The custom pony car will be auctioned at the Gathering of Eagles charity event with proceeds going to the EAA Young Eagles program; a non-profit that provides free flights.
