There's really no mistaking the Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang for anything else, thanks to its distinctive, character-rich 5.2L VooDoo V8 - a responsive, power-dense mill capable of spinning up to an exhilarating 8,250-rpm redline.

But just in case you ever do need to prove your GT350's authenticity, Ford's high-performance enthusiast vehicles division, Ford Performance, has just the thing for you: the 2019 Shelby GT350 Certificate of Authenticity Package. It's a whole suite of documents whose primary purpose seems to be helping your Shelby retain as much resale value as possible - although we guess it's good for those rabid fans who just like collecting Shelby artifacts, too.

The package, which is available for GT350s going all the way back to the current model's 2015 launch year, comes with an official Ford Performance Certificate of Authenticity for the customer's particular example, a certificate sleeve, VIN decoder, production summary chart, poster, tri-fold brochure, track driving tips, and "Monroney" window sticker.

It also comes with a nifty Cobra logo keychain and a business card holder shaped like a brake caliper, with a scale model of a drilled brake rotor that sits inside. We encountered one of those business card holders at a GT350 press event some years ago, and it's nice and hefty - the perfect deterrent for anyone looking to barge into your home office while you're getting work done.

The package runs about $130 to start, although a lot of the items you get would have been included in the original Owner's Supplement kit from when the car was sold brand-new. But for owners who don't have the kit for one reason or another, this package is just the thing.

The package will have only limited availability, however, and with the Shelby GT350 going away after the 2020 model year as Ford clears space for the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1, we have a feeling it's about to get much more collectible. You might want to act fast.
