This year's Woodward Dream Cruise will feature a car that normally doesn't make its way out to the suburbs of Detroit. Ford will bring its Ford Focus ST show car out to the festival this weekend for the Michigan public to take a glimpse at. The Dearborn-based manufacturer will bring their hot hatch out this weekend, however this is not the production model that everyone has been looking forward to seeing.

The production model is expected to make its debut at next month's Frankfurt International Auto Show and it will pack 247hp and 250lb-ft of torque as Ford has confirmed. The Focus ST will feature a racing suspension and a six-speed manual transmission. This will complement its turbocharged 2.0-liter Ecoboost inline-4-cyldiner engine. This will be the first time Ford will offer a performance variant of their hatchback since the Focus SVT was cut from their lineup in 2004. Pricing has yet to be confirmed, however the 2012 Focus ST should run around $26,000 when it hits dealerships next spring.
