Ford Fusion Hybrid

Environment

The Fusion Hybrid is a gasoline-hybrid powered version of the base Fusion model. The hybrid engine is a 2.5 liter four-cylinder with 191 horsepower mated to a six-speed automatic CVT. It has class-leading fuel economy with 36/41 city/highway and is a full hybrid, meaning that both power sources, an electric motor and a gas engine, are both powerful enough individually to power the car. As with the base Fusion, crash test results are very good and overall reliability has been excellent.

Only the Toyota Prius achieves better fuel mileage. Even the Toyota Camry hybrid did not perform as well as the Fusion Hybrid. Ford is, without a doubt, back in the saddle at full throttle.
