Without question the Ford GT is one of the most popular cars on CarBuzz. We're not even sure whether it's possible to say about a bad thing about it. Although it was only on sale for a very short time beginning back in 2005, Ford's retro halo car is powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 that produces 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. It blasts its way from 0-60 mph in around 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph. Just 4,038 examples were produced.

But is the Ford GT too old to take on something a bit more modern, such as the previous-generation Porsche 911 Turbo? Sure the GT can handle itself just fine at the drag strip, but considering it's now seven years old and somewhat outdated technologically, is it past its prime.

We'd like to think that's not the case, but supercar technology does advance very quickly and the Ford GT may have just simply become old. Check out these two videos of the supercar as it performs an incredible sounding burnout as well as a drag race against a 911 Turbo. Does it still rank supreme?
