The all-electric Mustang Mach-E has proven to be so popular that the Blue Oval brand has made more first-edition cars available for sale after the first batch sold out. As if the car couldn't garner more attention, Ford has just announced that Mustang Mach-E owners will be able to set up their vehicles remotely. This "Remote Vehicle Setup" will let customers quickly pre-configure their vehicles for a more personalized ownership experience even before the car arrives at their doorstep.

This personalization will be offered through the FordPass App or Ford Owner website and will allow new owners to set up favorite destinations, climate control settings, and even preferred drive mode.

The all-new Mustang Mach-E will offer all of these features and more once it hits the showroom floors, and will be able to learn things such as your closest charging station before it even arrives at your door. All it takes is to create a profile, set the navigation destination and other preferred car settings, which then all gets sent to cloud storage where it can be accessed through a smartphone app.

"'One-size fits all' fits no one," says Sheryl Connelly, Ford's chief futurist. "Consumers want personalized products, services and experiences. Mustang Mach-E's Remote Vehicle Setup lets them customize their own profile before they ever slide into the driver's seat, meaning every Mach-E can be unique."

Setting your car up before it even arrives means that you spend less time adjusting, and more time driving, which is perfect for those with busy personal lives who want a get in and go experience. After sending their preferred settings to their vehicles, the Remote Vehicle Setup sends these settings to SYNC 4A, which uses machine learning to quickly configure the vehicle. "Our customers want to personalize their vehicles to meet their busy lives," said Erika Raia, Ford global EV digital experience manager. "In our research, we found that 94 percent of customers ranked navigation and finding charging locations as the top features that they would want to set up remotely," she said

"They want their new vehicle to be 'theirs' as soon as possible and this app lets them pre-set features and educate themselves about their Mustang Mach-E weeks before delivery, meaning less time adjusting settings and more time enjoying their new vehicle."
