Every new electric car reveal carries a ton of excitement as hopeful automakers look to capture a slice of this growing market. The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is one of the most anticipated EVs following its reveal at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. Almost a full year after its reveal, the Mach-E should arrive on the market, with some dealerships reporting that they will receive demo models as early as December of this year.

Ford's timeline for Mach-E deliveries has been unclear, but we may finally have some insight thanks to a recent post on the Mach E Club forums. Just a few days ago, forum member JTK44 posted the following email that he received from Ford: "We are excited to let you know your 2021 Mustang Mach-E First Edition has been scheduled for production. Your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of December 7, 2020."

JTK44 says they reserved their Rapid Red Metallic First Edition Mach-E back on November 17, 2019, and the order for the car was officially placed on July 2, 2020. The email guesses that following the holidays and accounting for trucking to Long Island, New York, the car should be delivered in mid-January 2021. Some other commenters on the forums, who didn't share their emails, say their cars will enter production in November and will arrive before the end of 2020.

As a reminder, Ford plans to build 50,000 units of the Mustang Mach-E during its first year of production. Ford originally sold out of the First Edition in just one week before deciding to offer more through social media platforms.

The Mustang Mach-E recently received a price cut, including the First Edition model. Customers will now pay $58,300 for the First Edition, which is $1,000 less than originally expected. This trim level adds red brake calipers, red contrast stitching, and unique scuff plates and pedals. It also comes with an extended battery, estimated at 270 miles of range, along with AWD. The First Edition Mach-E produces 332 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque, propelling it to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds.
