Ford may have covered it in copious amounts of camo, but parading it in front of the Santa Monica Pier gave our spy photographer ample opportunity to deduce this was a 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. Despite covering the wheels and brakes with some nifty disguise, there's no mistaking that power bulge in the hood, while other hi-po cues include wide rocker panels, a quad double-barrel exhaust, some additional air vents, and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Strapping on the long lens and a look inside shows unmasked gauges and an increased redline to 6,500 rpm with an over-rev function allowing a brief jump to 7,000 rpm, as per the current GT500. Also note the Recaro seats and six-speed manual transmission. Under the hood, an updated version of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 is expected to power the range-topping Stang.
