Ford Opens Four Off-Road Centers For Bronco Owners

Off-Road / Comments

Now you can learn to off-road your Bronco in the Northeast.

To show off the capabilities of the new Bronco, Ford invited us to Grey Wolf Ranch in Horseshoe Bay (just outside Austin, Texas), home of the first Bronco Off-Roadeo. All 2021 Ford Bronco owners or order holders (and certain Ford Bronco Sport owners) will receive a one-day, 10-hour adventure at the off-roadeo school, where they will learn to master their vehicle on challenging terrain. Ford offered a similar, track-focused experience for GT350 customers.

Ford announced that three more locations are now available for Bronco owners who live in different parts of the country. The three schools will open on August 16 and are located at the Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, Utah; Mt. Potosi near Las Vegas, Nevada; and Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, New Hampshire. Ford previously planned a location at the Woodstock Inn and Resort in Vermont, but it was moved to New Hampshire after local residents objected, citing traffic flow concerns.

It may be a "backup location," but the Gunstock Mountain Resort should not disappoint in terms of scenery. "With stunning views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap Mountains, this location at Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, New Hampshire features a purpose-built ORX training course that traverses alpine ridges, dense woodlands, and rocky countryside," Ford said in a press release. "The off-road trails are uniquely carved through the gorgeous mountainside, with a combination of higher-speed two tracks and rock-filled, steep climbs surely to get your adrenaline going."

Plus, depending on what time of year you visit, there's a good chance you might have snow on the ground.

"When we were choosing locations for our Bronco Off-Roadeo schools, regional diversity was important, as was varying topography," said Dave Rivers, Bronco brand marketing manager. "But at the heart of our strategy was finding the most epic locations to give Bronco owners the best outdoor experiences possible. The sceneries at all four locations are simply amazing."

We've personally sampled the Texas location, and came away impressed by the experience. If you just purchased a Bronco or Bronco Sport Badlands/First Edition, we highly recommend taking Ford up on this amazing opportunity. Attendees need to sort their own travel and overnight accommodations, but the experience is included in the vehicle purchase price. A $250 voucher is also included to buy apparel at the Off-Roadeo. Ford offers additional activities too, including kayaking, fly-fishing, whitewater rafting, and mountain biking, making it a perfect vacation trip for the whole family.
