Ford Puts EcoBoost Into Life-Sized Hot Wheels Car

This space available for the first well thought out Dead Kennedys-inspired joke we hear.

Last year's SEMA show featured an exhibit that made quite a stir. The problem was, this vehicle, the Hot Wheels Rip Rod, wasn't actually a functional car, as it lacked an engine and any number of other essential components. So Ford Racing Stuffed the EcoBoost engine out of the Fiesta under the hood to make it go. Now, you might be thinking that a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine couldn't possibly do this insane-looking machine justice.

But the vehicle weighs next to nothing, and well, the engine is no longer tuned for fuel economy. Check it out.
