Don't hold your breath, America.
Ahead of its official premiere at the Paris Motor Show, Ford has revealed its new 2015 S-Max minivan, a seven-seat family hauler based on the Fusion/Mondeo sedans. Bringing its 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show concept to life, the S-Max is expected to be offered with a range of new engines, including a 158-horsepower 1.5-liter engine, a 237-hp 2.0-liter EcoBoost and a range of diesels offering various levels of output. It will also be available with an all-wheel drive system.
The new minivan features three rows of seats, with power-folding second and third rows, a power tailgate and a host of other luxury features. The S-Max will be hauling families in Europe and elsewhere in the world, but isn't expected to make it to soccer practice in the US anytime soon.
