Ford Reveals Special Raptor

Special Edition

Ford has introduced the 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition that adds some cosmetic touches to the purpose-built off-roader.

A new special edition has been revealed for the 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptorthat adds some unique touches to the high-performance pickup. Based on theexisting Luxury Package, the Special Edition model is available in distinctshades of Ruby Red or Tuxedo Black metallic, complete with box-sidegraphics more subdued than the stock version. Interior upgrades consist of Brick Red seat bolsters with blackinserts and touches of cloth honeycomb, a console top finish panel, and centerstack and door panel applique accents.

Ford has had a lot of success with the SVT Raptor, seeing sales rise by 14 percent in 2013 and more than 13,000 Raptors sold in 2012. With the release of the Raptor Special Edition, the automaker hopes to continue that positive momentum. As the new trim simply adds some cosmetic enhancements, under the hood the 6.2-liter V8 continues to churn out 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque.
