Only 1,960 are left now.
Just 1,964 will be built. It's a special number for a special occasion celebrating a special car. If you haven't guessed by now, the Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition will be very special, not to mention rare. Offered only in either Kona Blue or Wimbledon White, this Mustang will be powered by the 5.0-liter V8 paired to either a six-speed manual or six-speed auto. 19-inch wheels, upgraded brakes and tires, additional chrome and aluminum, and plenty of anniversary logos will adorn the car. There'll even be a numbered plaque.
This particular 2015 Mustang is going to be so cool that even Ford's top brass want one. And they also happen to be the first in line to get one. Figures. Actually, Bill Ford will get the first one. CEO Mark Fields is also near the top, along with Ford President of the Americas Joe Hinrichs. Even the new Mustang's chief engineer, Dave Pericak, just learned he'll receive car No. 8. A few more top execs will likely get a car, but the question is how many 50th Anniversary Mustangs will be left for everyone else to buy? 1,960 and going down.
