Ford Taurus

Industry News

The Ford Taurus is all-new for 2010. Built off the Volvo S60 platform, it was originally called the Five Hundred, but that name never resonated with the public (the name was later dropped). It was a decent car, but never conveyed anything original like the Taurus did. The reborn Taurus is classified as a large car rather than a mid-size sedan like the original. It has a standard 3.5 liter V-6 with a 263 horsepower. A 6-speed automatic transmission is also standard.

The redesigned model has all-new skin which is much sleeker and sportier than what it replaces. It also has a new interior which features a more driver-oriented focus and improved materials with better fit and finish and has become the flagship and technological showcase for Ford. All-wheel drive is also optional and has a base price of $25,900.
